What is Sportivate?

Sportivate is a £56 million Lottery funded London 2012 legacy project that gives more young people the chance to discover a sport that they love. Our Sportivate programme gives 11-16 year-olds who are interested in trying out canoeing, access to six sessions of subsidised coaching in a range of canoe sports. There is a wide range of activities on offer and here at Wiltshire Youth Canoe Club we are lucky enough to run these sessions. During the six sessions those taking part will work through personal challenges and when the coaching has finished they will have earned themselves the 'Paddlepower - Start' certificate and will be offered the opportunties to continue canoeing and kayaking with us at Wiltshire Youth Canoe Club.

If you are looking to have a go at canoeing and kayaking and fit within the age bracket then the sportivate sessions could be the perfect opportunity for you to come along for 6 sessions and try it out.

What Do We Offer?

'The Canoeing Experience'

Session 1 – Introduction to canoeing and kayaking

Session 2 – 5 – learning and experiencing canoeing and kayaking

Session 6 – Introduction into the canoe club and specific disciplines within canoeing and kayaking

When Are The Sessions?

Throughout the year we run a number of six session blocks and the dates for these sessions will be posted on our                              page.
